Rules & Classroom Management
We follow a school wide rule system using the acronym PRIDE. Students receive a stamp in their agendas every day as a reminder of our classroom rules.
Good Day - PRIDE stamp is in agenda
with no letters circled :)
Bad Choices - A letter will be circled and a note will be written on why he/she did not follow the
rules.
P - Positive Attitude (trying and participating in tasks with a positive attitude)
R - Respectful Behavior (treating adults and peers respectfully with our words and body language)
I - Independent Thinking (thinking on your own.... not cheating)
D - Dedication to Safety (following classroom safety rules, keeping your hands to yourself)
E - Engaged in Learning (paying attention and putting your best effort into assignments)
Steps to Solving Behavioral Concerns:
1. Verbal Warning
2. Student is redirected to make a better choice
3. Letter is circled in agenda, student loses privilege
4. Parent contact/loss of activity/infraction or referral
